The Magura Upgrade Kit ANT+ allows any Magura fork from MY2010 onwards to be retrofitted with the eLect system and gain the advantages of wireless and automatic lockout. The eLect system can be switched wirelessly from an automatic to manual lockout mode. In automatic mode the 3D accelerometer can respond to tilts and shocks. When climbing, the tilt sensor will switch the fork to firm mode to minimize pedal bob. On flat or downhill terrain, the fork will automatically open. The reaction time for this feature is roughly 2 seconds to prevent constant opening and closing of the suspension. In addition, sprinting out of the saddle will cause the fork to firm up for 6 seconds, providing a distinct performance edge. The eLect module is also able to detect freefall and open the fork after 0.2 seconds, preventing harsh landings and damage to the fork. The module provides 40 hours of runtime in automatic mode and 60 hours of runtime in manual mode. Charging can be done over micro USB. The upgrade kit includes the eLect control unit, wireless remote, handlebar mounting kit, charger and installation tool.
